Symptoms that persist for >7 days or return w/in 2 mth. Patient w/ fever (temp of ≥38°C), lower abdominal pain, back pain, foul smelling vag discharge, nausea, vag haemorrhage, &/or associated shoulder pain. Give local treatment w/ external cream in addition to intravag treatment (combination treatment) if labia & adjacent areas are simultaneously infected. Do not perform treatment during menstrual period. Finish treatment before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, intravag douches, spermicides or other vag products while on treatment. Avoid vag intercourse in case of vag infection & while on treatment. Local treatment for sexual partner if symptoms, eg, pruritus, inflammation are present. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Do not swallow. Patient suffering from diabetes. Insert vag tab w/o using an applicator when used in pregnancy. Childn <18 yr.
